Pubescent girls' awareness about the menstrual cycle

The menstrual cycle is a natural process in the life of almost every woman. For this reason, more emphasis should be placed on menstrual cycle education and awareness. Proper education about menstruation and the menstrual cycle positively affects the physical and mental health of the girl. Currently, there are many sources of information about menstruation and menstrual cycle, including books, magazines, websites, and mobile apps. However, it is important that girls have access to reliable sources of information to gain accurate and comprehensive information. This bachelor thesis is designed as a theoretical-practical work. The theoretical part describes the changes during the sexual matur of girls, the physiology and disorders of the menstrual cycle, intimate and menstrual hygiene and methods how to educate girls about the menstrual cycle. The practical part deals with the analysis of an anonymous questionnaire survey involving 106 girls in age between 11-15 years. Prior to the actual distribution of the questionnaires, informed consent for the survey was given to the legal representatives, and due to the young age of the respondents, the anonymity of the participants was mainteained. The evaluation of psysical ability of secondary school children among chosen Prague schools

The work focuses on the evaluation of physical fitness of students, who are 12 and 13 years old. The main aim is to assess the physical fitness of students at general high school and primary school with sports classes. As a part of the thesis, standardized testing will be conducted using the UNIFITTEST (6-60) battery, and two modified tests with their own evaluation tables will be created. The results of the tests will be compared with standardized or modified tables and evaluated according to point standards. The survey will gather data regarding extracurricular physical activity, according to which a trained individual is identified. These individuals will be defined as those who train for at least 3 hours, twice a week. The survey will also collect basic anthropometric data for measuring BMI. All of these aspects were put into context and the results proved, that primary school sports classes achieved better results than general high school children in most tests. By comparing the statistical data, it was proven that although the results are different, the differences are inappreciable at the level of statistical significance. Structure and motivation for leisure activities of sports characters of children of older school age

Physical activity is an important part of human life, especially about the current lifestyle. The thesis aims to use electronic questionnaires in the Internet information system Indares designed for children to gain knowledge about the motivation for physical activity and sports preferences in older school-age pupils (13-15 years) at the Primary School in Volary. The theoretical part deals with the clarification of the concepts of motivation, pubescence, leisure, and physical activity. The theoretical part also includes the characteristics of physical, emotional, and cognitive development of older school-age children. The practical part analyzes the motivation and interest in sports activities, examines whether students play sports in their free time, or whether physical education is a popular subject. It also examines what leisure activities they do, what motivates them to play sports and which activities they prefer.
Assessment of the level of gross motor skills of children aged 11 to 12 with the MABC-2 test battery at a selected primary school

The aim of the graduation thesis was to test level of gross motor skills of children aged 11 to 12 at selected primary school. Theory of the thesis was made by the literature research. We tested 45 children in age 11 and 12 by the test battery MABC-2 in research. Testing was completed in area of primary school Dacice Bozeny Nemcove after informed agreement of children's legal representative. Characteristics of the group was realized by the survey. We found out that girls reached better results than boys due to experiment in component balance by 0,7 percentile and in component aiming & catching by 6,2 percentile. Results showed better performance of sports active children by 8,8 percentile in component balance and 13,1 percentile in component aiming & catching. No pupil belonged to second or third zone of motoric difficulties in motor components with possibility of motor difficulties or significant motor difficulties with recommendation for specialized examination. We can overall consider the very good level of gross motor skills of measured children during the test thanks to percentile equivalent.
The influence of health literacy of pupils in a selected basic school on their lifestyle

The diploma thesis deals with the students' health literacy of the 6th to 9th grade students of the elementary school and its influence on their lifestyle. The goal of the thesis was to determine the level of health literacy of students, their lifestyle and whether their knowledge and skills of health area affect their lifestyle. The diploma thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. The content of the theoretical part includes chapters related to health, health literacy and its models, influencing factors and lifestyle. Furthermore, the theoretical part deals with the developmental specifics of the 6th to 9th grades students. The practical part includes a short description of the school where the research was implemented. The investigation was carried out using quantitative research - questionnaire survey method and qualitative research - interviews with students. There were 67 participants aged between 11 and 15. Students demonstrated a very good level of theoretical knowledge in health literacy. The results of the research showed that the transfer of this knowledge to the real life is not ideal for some students, yet there is considerable effort to improve their lifestyle.
Emotional reactions of young people to school physical education

Title: Emotional reactions of young people to school physical education Objectives: The main objective of this work is to determine and compare the emotional reactions of pupils during the sport lessons on secondary schools. We focus on the seventh and eighth graders, boys and girls at the age from twelve to fourteen. The goal is to statistically process and compare the results between the genders and between schools in urban and rural areas. Determine the reliability and internal consistency of the items from the individual factors in the selected DEMOR questionnaire. Evaluate the determined data in synoptic tables and graphs. Methods: The method of questioning was used in this work. To meet the objectives we analysed the responses obtained from the DEMOR questionnaire. Through this survey, it is possible to record the emotional reactions of the pupils and their perceptions of experiences they had to get information about the climate during physical education lessons. The survey was conducted on twelve secondary schools in rural and urban areas in the Karlovy Vary region. Results: The results indicate that, positive feelings prevail in current physical education classes. We found only a very slight difference in positive and negative feelings among the schools in rural and urban areas....

Relation of Lifestyle and Physical Fitness of Sporting and Non-Sporting Pupils at General Grammar School This thesis compares the lifestyle standards of the Pupils at General Grammar School, who do sports regularly with the lifestyle standards of those who don't. Furthermore, it identifies the impact of this on their physical fitness and preferences associated with the healthy lifestyle. The thesis examines and compares the difference in the physical fitness and lifestyle of boys and girls. The work has two parts - theoretical basis and research. ABSTRACT: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to find out how students and pupils evaluate past time activities in the boarding house at our schoul. After getting known the legislation of boarding houses and the characteristics of age - groups of accomodated students the survey was accomplished. Each student evaluated the past time activities in the same way they are evaluated at school (1-5). For better grafic presentatoin of the results the evaluation was converted into points. Final results were put into charts and diagrams. Our schoolmistresses evaluated freetime activities in the same way as students did. There were made a list of activities that students and pupils liked and it was compared with the list that mistresses set. The conculsion was to think about these results and their using for organizing past activities in our boarding house for the next school year.
Eating disorders among pupils of upper primary school

This thesis deals with the eating disorders, focusing on two basic and currently the most important diseases - anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The theoretical part summarizes findings about the eating disorders. I give basic information about anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, I devote the attention to their causes , symptoms and consequences. I also write about a prevention of the eating disorders in primary school. Based on the theoretical background, a questionnaire survey was conducted among elementary schools, which aim was to determine the level of knowledge of these issues, satisfaction with one's body and appearance and their relationship to the diet trends.
Educational Work With Children Criminals

This thesis deals with the topic of education in relation to child offenders. The theoretical part describes the current state and structure of children's criminality in the Czech Republic, its possible causes, characteristics and measures that can be imposed on children under the age of fifteen. The thesis introduces institutions in which children are placed, and educational and therapeutic procedures that can work with these children to use. The practical part of this thesis contains four case studies of selected cases of child offenders.
